Dulux Digital Wall
As Dulux’s creative digital agency, Vocal were tasked with bringing the recently painted walls of the Aviva stadium to a digital audience.
The walls of the Aviva stadium were painted in the nation’s favourite colourful moments from Irish sporting history. The project helps establish the Aviva as the cultural home of the IRFU and FAI and Irish sport as a whole. From ‘The nation holds its breath’ to that drop goal in the Millennium Stadium, fans are able to relive the now infamous commentary while walking through the stadium.
The project was brought into the digital world through a ‘digital wall’ that brings the match-day experience to a wider audience online. The interactive piece is hosted on Dulux’s Facebook page as well as accessible through the Dulux Colourful Moments site.
Dulux Ireland’s digital wall brings the experience of the physical wall at the Aviva to a wider audience online and we believe it will be a talking point both within and outside the walls of the stadium.
The digital wall will support the Dulux Colourful Moments on-going campaign and remain live until the end of the year. The wall is flexible and can be populated with new quotes as the year goes on as well as highlighting sport-specific quotes leading up to match-day.
Ahead of the recent Rep. of Ireland vs Scotland Euro 2016 Qualifier, Vocal also adapted the digital wall environment to host competitions. We asked fans to share their favourite quotes from Irish sporting history as a means of entry. Once their quote was submitted it appeared on the wall and they were in to win a pair of tickets to the game. The competition was a success and sparked a flow of user-generated content on Dulux Ireland’s Facebook page.
